Everything you need to run the house — the projector, whole-house audio, the string lights, and streaming. Tap a card to open its steps.

Projector

The theater projector and screen. Tap Turn on and give it a moment to warm up.

Connecting…
Step-by-step instructions
  1. Tap “Turn on” above — the screen lowers and the projector warms up, which takes about [30 seconds].
  2. Pick what you want to watch with the [Firestick remote].
  3. Set the sound from the Whole-House Audio card below.
  4. When you’re done, tap “Off” — the projector cools itself down and the screen raises on its own.
Never unplug the projector to turn it off — always use “Off.” Cutting power mid-use can shorten the bulb’s life.
Whole-House Audio

The Denon receiver feeds the Nuvo system that runs sound through the house. Choose what plays and set the overall level here; each room’s own volume is set on its keypad.

Connecting…
Step-by-step instructions
  1. Turn the receiver on above, then pick a source — [Firestick] for streaming, or Bluetooth to play from your own phone.
  2. Set the overall volume here.
  3. In each room, use the [Nuvo keypad on the wall] to turn that zone on and set how loud it is there.
Please keep the volume neighborly after [10 pm], especially outdoors.
Heating & Cooling

Two thermostats keep the house comfortable — one for the Villa Bedroom, one for the West Wing Hall. Set each to whatever suits you between 62° and 78°.

Connecting…
Step-by-step instructions
  1. Pick the zone you want — Villa Bedroom or West Wing Hall.
  2. Use − and + to set the temperature. The big number is the target; the small one is what it actually is right now.
  3. Choose Cool, Heat, or Off for that zone.
  4. Give it a few minutes — the system takes a little while to catch up.
If a zone is not responding, check that its mode is not set to Off.
String Lights

The patio and deck string lights set the whole evening mood.

Connecting…
Step-by-step instructions
  1. Flip the switch labeled “String Lights” by the [back door], or tap “Patio Lights” on the panel.
  2. Dim them to taste with [the dimmer / the app].
  3. Switch them off the same way on your way in.
They’re on a timer and turn off automatically around [11 pm] — no worries if you forget.
